Would you try a new approach to traveling?

⏱️ TL;DR: go to the last two paragraphs :D Soo.. we're about to launch our product, but I don't want this to be the usual post where one asks people to follow the product just for the sake of it: I really want to hear from you your honest opinion. Most people, one way or another, spend some time travelling, either for work or for pleasure. In my opinion (but feel free to prove me wrong!) the most common ways of travelling are: 1️⃣ be guided: hire a tour guide, go with a friend, follow a blog article or some suggestion from an influencer, ... 2️⃣ make your own plan: research a few days, read websites and then make a list of all the places that you want to visit. Both these approaches definitely work, but my friends and I wanted to try something new and tried this experiment where a person was walking freely around London and the rest of the team was narrating interesting things surrounding the traveller: it was such a GOOD experience! 📱It was so nice that we decided to make it into a product and we're going to launch it here on PH. I am NOT linking here, because I really just want to hear your opinion on this. ❓ Would you like to experiment with something like this? Or would you reject this approach to travelling without even trying it?

Maybe a mix of the 2? I traditionally like having maybe one or two things planned for the day, but having a load of suggestions off the beaten path by a local would be awesome!
@vreiche yea! I totally agree with you: a mix of both would be the best. I often spend a few days following my pre-planned itinerary, and then spend a couple of days walking around area I found interesting to discover more “hidden” curiosities. Spoiler: the app will in fact support a mix of these two approaches and let the traveller choose how much they want to be guided! Thank you for taking the time to answer!
@harriet_cordero Awesome! Glad to hear it! If you feel like it, we just launched an early adopter program for those who would like to try it out and enjoy life-time discounts once it gets public.

I am curious about the product so I signed for the launch ;) personally I travelled a lot and I found local tour guides nice if just for 10-20% of the time + the vibe is alright; on the other hand research takes a lot of time so I cut down it more and more.
@ananda_hsu Super nice! Thank you for answering, Ananda! Really appreciate you signing up! We're working hard to get Touring to you ASAP!

Travel guide would definitely enhance your travel experience IF language/scheduling/price meet your need. So my team built one, DocentPro. https://shorturl.at/bdD26 It will be launched tomorrow! Stay tuned!
