@andrew_noah I don't always want to work overtime. Sometimes the boss insists on squeezing every last drop of productivity out of us.

I'd say yes when working overtime can save you much more time the next day. It's also valid when you just want to get something done. I wouldn't work overtime for the sake of it; that can lead to burnout and an unhealthy work-life balance.

when you work on a startup and don't have set hours, there is no overtime it's extra hustle 😄

@sakozzy Fair point. Most people would say overtime will be compensated later on. And yet I would not entirely agree. The party goes on for a couple of years once it takes off, which people sometimes underestimate.
