With too much focus on shipping 'AI' products, are we missing out on other important problems?

I love the speed with which AI, ChatGPT products are released globally. But, on the flip are we getting too obsessed with it to care and solve non-AI yet important problems?

for sure yes, since how the AI gets it's results is still unclear in most cases.
A problem because of this could be faced by publishers.
The more AIs scrape the internet and give you results, the lesser people will go to the actual sites that the AI is scrapping content off of.
So then if lesser people go to publishers sites, because AI gives them better results anyway, then how do publishers make money?

@swapdp_01 very sorry, I remember this being discussed on a YouTube podcast (that I just cannot remember at the moment!)

@chetan_natesh that's a very strong and interesting point, Chetan. Are there are any discussions or articles where this problem is discussed? Can you point me to those?

@anya1 True, AI as an integral part or a whole solution is a great thing. But, lately almost all products launched seemed to be solving the same 1 or 2 primary issues - which as you rightly said is trendy to do so. Makers and founders would do well to understand most of these may not be long term profitable businesses.
@swapdp_01 I think it would better if we had a more richer and extended experimentation period, while giving governments time to push laws forward in order to have a chance of catching up.
