Will the Chat GPT update kill the AI startup market?

For sure. It's instant death for many, unless you differentiate and build moats. It's pretty fascinating how a successful startup can go from 50k MRR to complete zero in a day. Yet many others with strong moats, keep going up. So the lesson is to validate if you're different enough from what OpenAI will naturally build next. I think the next wave is: Hardware AI. A HomePod mini like device but made by OpenAI. And GPT5, which will be close to ASI. I think these will come already next year. Then wearable HomePod minis. and GPT6 Which might be AGI.

Honestly, i don't think so, it's easy to say and speculate that it will but how many real-life examples do we have of startup companies going absolutely bust only because of OpenAI?
