So I need both. Google Analytics is nice to work with attribution as it integrates well with google ads and searches console. Now the main limitation of google analytics is that doesn't allow retroactive analysis. That is a topic I already discussed here: https://www.producthunt.com/disc... Restroactive tools like Mixpanel, Smartlook Qualitative Analytics & Amplitude allow you to analyse data a posteriori, which is super useful for startups.
@fabian_maume I haven't come across the term "mixpanel." Do you define it as a web analytics service? We currently use Google Analytics to track the metrics of our website, but we can always look into other better options.
@fabian_maume OK, thank you for sharing. I will check it out.

I use MixPanel, but prefer FullStory. I have privacy-first session recording/replay in my platform too, for live/retroactive customer support and analytics.

We started using Mixpanel to create and track different funnels on our customer journey and to measure the effectiveness of our internal processes. We still use Google Analytics but Mixpanel dashboards are much more versatile and easier to create!

@nicole_ogloza We use a mix of both! Google analytics for basic analytics and for ads and search. Mixpanel to track performance of various funnels from web and inside our platform.

@kaveen thanks. so would you say you use a mix of both, or just mixpanel now?

At Plezi we use both. Google Analytics is more for the marketing team to follow conversions (from the website to our freemium app) With the product team we use Segment to collect front & back data and send them to Mixpanel (to follow features adoption quantitatively) + Smartlook (for qualitative user research)

I am using amplitude.

@zhitao_yan Why that one? How did you discover it?

@nicole_ogloza Because I was working for a mobile analytics platform company. Amplitude is a competitive product. Why I use amplitude now because amplitude can be easily integrated with other data integration product so that I can integrate the collected data in to data lake to further analysis.
