It comes with more freedom but also responsibility. And I like that😁

@matej_cabadaj I also really like that. With the right team it can be a productivity booster but it also needs trust.

In my opinion, home office is useful when you're ill, but not that much that you still can work. Working from home doesn't infect others in the office.

@sehrish_rasool1 on point! There are so many advantages. I'm sure it will be the future in many companies, but there are still some challenges to solve.

Remote work unlocks genuine work/life balance. Being able to throw a load of laundry in between meetings or cooking a quick lunch is deeply humanizing, it reminds me I'm not a cog in a machine. Before the rise of remote flexibility, we had normalized the idea of outsourcing everyday tasks (hiring dog walkers to spend time with our pets, for example, or watching our groceries go bad in the fridge bc we don't have time to cook) which ended up being more expensive AND robbing us of the opportunity for simple pleasures like walking the dog, cooking a meal, etc. Remote work infuses my days with micro-doses of humanity, the chance to walk away from the screens and breathe and remember what all the hard work is actually for.

@bret_lawrence I really like the phrase "Remote work infuses my days with micro-doses of humanity". I totally agree with you. Remote work offers employees so much more freedom about their life on how they want to organize it. If picking up the children from school or going a round with the dog is quality time. These little moments supporting work life balance that much and slow down life between meeting after meeting. That is exactly what people need nowadays.
