Why are there so many people trying to sell me into "Organic Upvotes"?

I have launched three products here on product hunt and each time I launch a product, the number of people reaching out to me selling me upvotes grows. I don't understand existence of such services. Is there no filter of sorts to prevent people from buying their way here?
Also I have always seen this as platform to showcase the cool stuff you are building, nowadays its turning more into a rat race for a badge.
Let a man get his honest upvotes,
Thanks.

I think it's just not always possible to track such cases (I mean from the developers' side). By the way, how much do they usually ask for an upvote?

Agreed. These are shady practices that should be treated respectively.
Btw, if you ever need upvotes to become a product of the day, DM me.
As far as I understood PH is first having a good product and presentation of it. And sure creating a network here by investing time and giving opinions and knowledge into discussions.
But buying upvotes is prohibited afaik and PH bans such behavior.
But as I haven't lauched a product here I don't what happens and how you're getting approached by those people. We are going to beta testing soon with our language learning platform.
What are your experiences?
I believe the platform should prioritize value over upvotes.
It's frustrating to see this shift towards "Organic Upvotes." The essence of Product Hunt is to celebrate innovation and creativity, not to game the system. Unfortunately, where there's a ranking system, some will try to exploit it.
There should be stricter measures against these service. Product Hunt should be a place to highlight creativity, not a marketplace for upvotes.
It's disappointing when people buy upvotes instead of earning them through real engagement.
