Who would win in GPT race: Google/OpenAI or open source?

After reading recent leaked report "We Have No Moat" (made by anonymous Google employee) and great HackerNews comments, I want to ask the Producthunt community of Builders. Because if open source will dominate the LLM world, maybe it is not right way to build new products which rely on ChatGPT API? What do you think?

Going with Open source. You don't need to have quantitative data if you can have qualitative small sets.
