I’m working on an idea that has nothing to do with AI and it’s making me second guess myself frequently. Anyone else?

I wouldn't shift your project goals because its not centered around AI. As your project matures and finds a fit in the market you will see opportunities that can be made into AI features. Most importantly though is to build something that solves a problem. Best of luck on your journey!
Does chatGPT gave this idea?

Me! I'm not even working on an app. I have created a patent-pending ultimate dog bed with 14 features, that's generating buzz and about to be tested and reviewed by the New York Times. Please support our upcoming launch here!: producthunt.com/products/ruffrest-ultimate-dog-bed

95%-99% of the new “AI” companies are not going to be around in 3 years. Unless you have a specific expertise in AI or and specific problem that requires an AI solution I would pass for now :)

haha great question as it seems that everyone is working on something AI-related!

Working on Hardcover, where you can track your reading and see other people's libraries. As long as you've got a valid problem you're solving, don't sweat it.

Our project does not use AI, but we plan to include it in the future. This will be useful and AI can greatly expand our capabilities.

2019: "We are unique because we use AI as a part of our services" 2023: "We are unique because we don't use AI/ChatGPT as a part of our services" Just 4 years but such a big difference:)

I think everyone is working with AI as it's the trend for now.

It depends.. What is your industry? You can start without AI and integrate it later on. For example, we created an educational app without AI called Tutorela, but we will use AI in the future. It is more important that your app/website will give a lot of value to your users :)

I think not all products should be about AI! It should do its job and you will have your piece of pie. 😉

I am. We are developing an app for financial modelling.

I don't think the product has to be AI, but there's no doubt in my mind that it needs to have some sort of AI supporting the solution.

I'm not working on an AI product either. I feel left out too haha, they all look like great concepts though. Mines is providing a service, automotive industry. Check it out! https://www.producthunt.com/prod...

Hah! We're just pivoting from an AI product (although it was more of a classic ML) to a non-AI one, just because it solves a bigger problem. The cliche of "focus on the problem, not a solution" really applies hre. No one besides mediocore investors and novelty users that will churn quickly either way cares about whether you're using AI or not.
