Which One do You Choose? Having Own Product or Become a Reseller?

Having your own product seems interesting. The profits can be very high especially for digital products, but a lot of effort needs to be made in terms of production and quality. If it's someone else's product (reseller), we don't need to think more about the product, just focus on marketing. If you were given a choice which one would you choose? What do you think about its advantages and disadvantages?
