Going freemium, with a trial or going free trial, following with freemium. The former works best when you have a feature-rich product. Let me know your thoughts on this.

There's also the reverse free trial, which we're considering for our upcoming launch. Get the full product for free, fall back to the 'normal' free tier after 1-4 weeks if you haven't subscribed. Feels fair to a lot of users.
