Where is the cut between advertising and asking for upvotes?

I am going to launch my product on this platform and understand that it is not allowed to ask for uploads. Besides that, many articles recommend sharing your launch on social media, without explicit asking for upvotes. This made me think; would it be considered asking for upvotes when I post my launch on social media, where mostly friends and family will view my posts, next to people interested in the app? Would I be allowed to write stuff like "Feel free to support me on Product Hunt if you like my app"? Or would something like this be considered "Asking for upvotes"?
