Where is the best place to live as a digital nomad?

I think all the countries in South-east Asia are perfect for fit for a lot of people. The culture, food, people are all amazing and the cost of living is ideal even though it is getting a little bit more expensive but still nothing compared to the rest of the world. I'm curious, where would you live as a digital nomad?

@paulinahryniewicz I agree. All the more Eastern European countries are great during autumn/summer, but during the winter it is soo melancholic.

I'm moving this year! My current list of places I'm considering is Bali, Thailand, Greece, and Portugal. Would love to know what places you are considering. Bali is currently at the top of my list, looks like it's got low cost of living, access to coworking spaces, and great warm weather.

@zechariah_campbell I've only been to Bali and Portugal soo far. Both are amazing. Bali is definitely cheaper and a lot different to Portugal. I'm from Europe and all the major cities kind of look the same or have the same characteristics soo I found Portugal to have more of a homey feeling as it ressembles my hometown. It is also very warm and the people are nice, food is not that expensive, but from what I've heard from locals the rent is getting expensive because of all the digital nomads trying to live there (I'm talking about Lisbon). Bali on the other hand is even cheaper, great people, easy to connect, lots to do and just an amazing country. You can probably find better pros and cons list elsewhere but this is just what I've seen and think. Hope it helps :)
