Where do you place the Product Hunt badge during launch?

I would say both!

I would suggest adding a badge on the home page and badge image (without link) on the payments page. Because, the badge will add social proof on the payment pages, and at the same time if it is a link people might be more interested in checking the product hunt page and leaving the pricing page.
