When Ai does down, how risky is it building on ChatGPT?

Tuesday we witnessed the OpenAi having a relapse of sorts and producing a bunch of gibberish responses to requests. What risks are there inherent in developers building off of this new and apparently unstable platform and how are you mitigating that risk?
