It was the morning of our Product Hunt launch. Excitement was at its peak as our team, who developed the CRM tool, gathered in the office, sipping our coffee while watching the final countdown. We had made the last checks on the site and ensured everything was ready. Just minutes before the launch, someone from the team asked, “Did you test the automated customer response feature?” We all froze for a moment. In a panic, we started clicking through the CRM tool’s interface, sending mock emails and triggering responses. Then, unexpectedly, one of our team members shouted, “Why is it sending out birthday greetings?” To our surprise, the CRM tool, in all its eagerness, had decided to congratulate every contact on their birthday—even if it wasn’t their birthday. Suddenly, clients and stakeholders were responding with confused “Thanks?” and “It’s not my birthday, but appreciate it!” messages. The office erupted into laughter as we scrambled to fix the setting. In the end, although we had a minor hiccup, the unplanned birthday greetings became a memorable part of our Product Hunt launch day.
