What was the situation that pushed you to find a mentor or made you think about needing one?

It happened quite recently for me. As I'm quite new to product marketing, I understand there's a lot to learn but as there are so many different roads I could take, it sometimes confuses me. So I wish I has a mentor who could point me in the right direction so I wouldn't waste time on things that are not relevant now. Also it would be great to hear a second opinion on possible solutions, etc. What were your situations?
