What technologies are popular nowadays and will be used in future as well?

I'm the CEO of the Mirko Solutions IT company ( we do outsourcing and staff augmentation services). I see how the market rapidly changes and would like your opinions and vision. The metaverse and web 3.0. conversations seem to be quiet right now due to ChatGPT's appearance.

Nobody knows, that is why trends come and go… =) An educated guess would be that the Web (HTTPs protocol) will continue be used along with the instant messaging and e-mail protocols. They have remained alive for the last 3 decades. We should continue having them around for a few more.

@solomiia_kots I am not sure about the Metaverse, but it seems people would have a "virtual self" there, and from there you would live in a virtual world. Where did I hear that idea before? Oh, yes… Second Life! A virtual world created in 2003 that is still there for anyone to join. How many people you know use Second Life? How many people you know will use the Metaverse, if it is exactly the same concept with VR googles? I believe that no one, except perhaps online marketers. The same for Web3. If it will use the HTTPs protocol to transmit information, then it is merely yet another web page. Nothing to neither worry nor be excited about.
