So the single biggest thing we have done is that we deployed a Discord server for our product and then we also host weekly office hours where we are all on video and customers can ask us any questions.

I created a discord community for other backend developer like myself that want to create SaaS. We are still a small community but we try to help and learn from each other!

In 2 words: "give value" Help others only if you help others they will see you as a prominent member and you will be remembered

Definitely engage your existing happy customers first - word of mouth is powerful! Also cross-promote in relevant communities to attract new folks. Providing real value by helping solve their problems is key to pulling them into your own community. It takes work but those are some of the most effective ways I've seen to grow a thriving product community.

Building a community isn't easy, but some things that have worked for us: 1) Proactively reaching out to our most enthusiastic users and empowering them to be brand advocates, 2) Creating valuable content (guides, case studies, etc.) that positions us as experts and attracts like-minded folks, 3) Partnering with adjacent communities for co-marketing opportunities to tap into new audiences, 4) Obsessing over customer support to turn users into raving fans. Hope this helps spark some ideas!

Excellent question! A few things that have worked well for us: 1) Leveraging our most passionate users and empowering them to be community champions. They spread the word fast! 2) Partnering with adjacent communities for cross-promotion to pull in relevant new members. 3) Consistently showing up ourselves to engage, help solve problems, and pull the community in. It takes work but a thriving community is so powerful!
