What should I do if the product didn't take off? How to cope and not give up?

I suppose, as it also happened to me, you should analyze what happened. People used your product and simply left ? People saw your product and were not interested ? People didn't see your product at all ? Depending on the answers, you should maybe continue, pivot or give up. But never forget that the idea or project is not the most important, your mindset is.

Take comments, improve, do better next launch. If you think it's a bad idea after a bad launch, come up with a better one. Did you do enough marketing? Were there bugs? Is there a need in the market? If you like your product and use it often and like developing it, then giving up isn't much of an option. Always find ways to improve.

Lot's of big apps today went through years of obscurity (Notion is a great story that comes to mind). Some resilience & dedication can totally be necessary on the journey to PMF! There are always going to be setbacks, rejections, mistakes - that's just the way of life. That being said it is also a really personal decision - can you live with the consequences of giving up? How much do you weigh the risks and rewards? Good luck whatever you choose. Right now I'm still going after having to make that choice a couple times so I know how it feels. You got this either way! 💪
