What's your preferred way of learning new skills?

I like to have a mentor during the first bit of learning a new skill to ensure I am learning the right way and don't have to unlearn later. Once I get a grip of things, I am comfortable with getting my resources from anywhere.

I'll probably be the only vote for books. Unfortunately, they don't move fast enough. Studies show that the vast majority of people are visual learners.

It's a little bit embarrassing, but I learned some of my skills in Youtube. There's plenty of informative learning videos there, you just gotta watch and see through each of them to find the most informative one.

My preferred way of learning new skills is through a combination of hands-on practice and online resources. I like to find tutorials or courses that allow me to follow along with practical examples, while also giving me the flexibility to work at my own pace and dive deeper into areas where I need more help.

I'm into project-based learning. Nothing beats getting hands-on and diving into a real-world project to pick up new skills. Plus, it's fun and motivating!
