What's your preferred mode for working on improving your language skills?

Assume you are someone having basic fundamental knowledge of a language wherein you can converse in bits, but not confident enough to speak on stage or impromptu without a prepared script. Also assume, the option you choose will be followed by 'Practicing Speaking with an AI chatbot or 1:1 with a Native Speaker, or even Writing which gets assessed by AI or Peer review'
