What's the point in hiding the upvotes if you can still see them on the product's page?

The upvotes show on the mobile app version as well. I know it's just an experiment for now, and the hours of hiding the votes have been increased to 4 hours, but I would like to see consistency in this, because it's hard to tell how much it helps if they're only partially hidden on the desktop version.
