Work with the best people you meet in your life, it will define quality of your life more than anything else.
High standards protect you from low quality experiences.

I would like to quote a sentence from Arnold Schwarzenegger that really hits the nail on the head.

If you have a plan, try to implement it, and don’t be afraid of anything, everyone is equal in the world.
Learn to live frugally, but still doing things you enjoy. Frugally doesn't meant to be cheap, specially not with yourself or your loved ones.
If you are liking something to do, just work for it apart from thinking of its results.
Don't let failures break you down. This is a part of progress!
