About a year and a half ago I was laid off and honestly had no clue what to do. I had never been in that position before and have been working since I was 15 so I have never had a break. It took a lot of trials and support but I thought, why not go back to school for a bit and figure out what it is I like to do. BEST DECISION EVER! I decided to do a online Graphic Design certificate and it has not only helped me get my confidence back, but it helped add a bit quality skill to my mostly marketing resume.

Biggest hurdle was transitioning from traditional marketing to digital. Took a lot of self-study and hands-on experience to get the hang of things like SEO, PPC, etc. In the end, courses from Coursera and plenty of practice made it possible. Quite the ride, I tell ya.

Being lead on a few global launches that had on-stage keynote presence. You learn that teamwork is everything when you're 'conducting an orchestra.' Lead from the front, communication is key, and trust your team.
