What's everyone reading these days?

It can be work-related or not. I'm currently reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. I know many of the snippets/quotes by heart bc it's ubiquitous in business lectures and anecdotes, but I want to read the whole thing myself. I love that it's just little notes he made to himself -- never supposed to be a book or even shared with anyone.

I've got a few on the go - 80% through "Launch," 50% through "Done - earn more while managing less," 50% through Dark Age (book 5 of the red rising series) and Mistborn book number 2 (no idea the name) on audiobook that I am falling asleep to! Are you enjoying it - I heard it can be a bit of a slog.

@dzaitzow It is a different sort of read because it isn’t a long story as a normal book would be, but I am enjoying it very much. I’ll check yours out too!

@mick_essex Good to hear - Launch is the Jeff Walker book on how to have a successful launch (some of it feels a little dated and lots of case studies but the themes are great to get your mind around launching) and Done is good so far because it gives you really good insight into how to manage remote teams effectively. Again like all non-fiction business books in this space (that I've read) you can skim the case studies haha. The other two are Fantasy so feel free to skip them if its not your cup of tea!

@mick_essex It narrates the life story of a father, his son, and his grandson. They each face horrible problems and undergo psychological, physical, and emotional changes that make the reader feel sorry, scared, and disappointed. But, the book has its share of comedy too.
