Varcity
Great question! Varcity is a play on an ivy-league finance education - it used to be that a formal education was the only entry point to the world of finance but now with BaaS, digital Wealth, neo-banks another accessible financial systems, everyone has the opportunity to become a great investor. Our (soon to launch) product is geared towards users who want to learn and improve their trading skills through forward testing, quantitative trading metrics and our own Varcity Trading Index performance ranking.

Spheria: your brain has two hemispheres. Your left one controls speech, comprehension, arithmetic, and writing; the right one controls creativity, spatial ability, artistic, and musical skills.
the name of our product is Control (web-based website editor) - for us this means few things:
1. Designer finally have control over the live site and can make edits without having to bug a developer
2. Developer has control over his code base - the website editor is just a Headless plug-in into his site. So he stays in VSCode and does not need to inject code like in other builders, which feels really unprofessional and stupid.

Our brand name is The Clueless Company.
We found people building products are engineers in most cases and have great minds when it comes to technical but when it comes to marketing, sales, and customer support they are clueless and that's how we came up with The Clueless Company to help clueless founders using RevOps.
@mehul_fanawala this is just intelligent! Reminds me of the boring company, I always refer into their clever name.
@juliasuontama, thank you so much and now I bet that every time you speak or hear "Clueless" you will recall The Clueless Company.
@gene_nemirovsky thank you, Gene and love to hear your perspective how did you find it slightly "condescending"?
@mehul_fanawala condescending in a cute way, not aimed to offend. Assuming that engineers are clueless when it comes to those other things, which of course isn't the case a lot of the times. Again, I like the name, it has an edge.
@gene_nemirovsky aha got it, I thought other way around. Thanks for the clarification. Appreciate it.
Fit Workout Routine
Fit Workout Routine - The name just made sense to me since the product I'm building is an ios app where users regularly plan/log exercises hence "workout routine" and while doing so they maintain "fit".

Boxio ➡️ product's core is boxes, so felt like no brainer.
We aim to unclutter the computer with these boxes. Each box represents a project housing all the tabs, apps, tools needed in one place.
And you can make fun lines like 'Are you ready to Box it up!'
WebsitesToolz
@juliasuontama Hi just a quick question? Does Boxio help quick access to all open tabs on the internet browser. I mean like sometimes I have like 15 or 20 tabs open and then each time I have to reopen and login and repeat 🙃
@websitestoolz Yes indeed! We made this first demo video to tell a bit about it:
If you're interested, we will give Boxio tomorrow for Mac users who signed up for our waitlist from out website!
WebsitesToolz
@juliasuontama that's great will check it out.
@websitestoolz Super!! 💯

@antonikozelski Corbado.
Fernando José Corbató was the inventor of the modern password and as our mission is to free the world from passwords, we thought that a slightly softer name would be a good fit :D

Thinksy
Thinksy :) it started as an idea management app and we were joking around with the phrase "me thinksy". It stuck even though we've pivoted to be a Slack app for SWEs that automatically summarizes your work for performance reviews, promos, etc.

@antonikozelski Thank you! We *think* so :) Is it something you could use? We're doing free trials

RuffRest® Ultimate Dog Bed
Timberdog - because I wanted to convey rugged, outdoors, wild, adventure. It's also a play on words because for every dog bed sold, I plant two trees in partnership with One Tree Planted to further my goal of becoming carbon negative. Finally, my dog - who is our company mascot - also has high wolf gene, and wolves are often called timber dogs.

Well, it's straightforward. Blocks because you can build emails with... you guessed it, blocks :).
Im building a blockchain powered loyalty app and named it "likwid"
Its one of those names that made sense.
Given the composability and interoperability nature of data recorded on a blockchain, I thought well this makes points and rewards consumers accumulate kinda liquid and theyll be able to enjoy perks, rewards and benefits not just from the businesses they interact with but also have the freedom to exchange those rewards with other people.
I changed how its written as i liked how you can visually see two people in the form of two "i"s in the name: likwid, representing two people, or a business and a consumer/fan, or two businesses.

Hi. To solve the name problem I created this https://www.producthunt.com/prod.... I launched it a few weeks ago here on PH but it didn't have much visibility because it wasn't "Featured". In case it is useful to anyone... :)
