Many brands focus too much on selling instead of delivering value. The audience connects with helpful or entertaining content, not just ads.

Focus on storytelling rather than just pitching your product. Use video to share customer stories, behind-the-scenes looks at your company, or helpful tips related to your niche. The key is providing value first, then subtly tying it back to your brand. Keep the sales pitch understated.
Spending too much on video content. I've seen B2B businesses spend 100K+ on beautiful, agency-crafted videos that will never achieve ROI. Better to build many videos with DIY tools, freelancers, AI, etc. and test them with your target audience.

A mistake I see is sticking to one style without testing what resonates. Experiment with formats, tones, and ideas

A common mistake brands make with video content is focusing too much on the product and not enough on storytelling or engaging the audience. It’s important to create videos that connect emotionally and offer value, not just push a sales message.

one common mistake brands make is creating long videos that lack a clear message . Instead, they can focus on short video and impactful message delivered in first few seconds

Many brands forget to tell a story. People connect with emotions not just products or features.

I think the same applies here as for example for Instagram Reels, make sure you captivate the user in a few seconds. I think there is often a lack of creativity and the focus is too much on presenting the product instead of arousing curiosity.
