The book that significantly changed my perspective or life is Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. It is a memoir of Frankl's experiences in the Nazi concentration camps during World War II. In the camps, Frankl witnessed the worst of humanity, but he also saw the power of the human spirit to survive and find meaning in even the most difficult circumstances.
Frankl's book helped me to understand the importance of finding meaning in life, even when things are tough. It also taught me that I have the power to control my own thoughts and emotions, even in difficult situations.

Chaos, deep work, atomic habits, grit, courage to be disliked.
@uma_venugopal I love the list! 'Chaos' to embrace uncertainty, 'Deep Work' for focus, 'Atomic Habits' for lasting change, 'Grit' for perseverance, and 'Courage to Be Disliked' for authentic living. Each is a gem in its own right!

@amber_gardener Couldn't have said it better myself. I've also found the Thrawn trilogy Timothy Zahn to very engaging.

I know it is a little weird but I found Sapiens and Homo-Deus to be really helpful in understanding more about the psychology of humans.

@amber_gardener Did you try to get through 21 lessons for the 21st century? I found it to be a bit of a slog (maybe even a cash grab haha) and a little less insightful than the other two.
Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking did more than just give me the willpower to quit smoking. It helped change my perspective to the point where it feels like my addiction is just gone after four years without tobacco.
It got me on a train of thought that made me realize I don't like alcohol anymore, so I quit that. Now I'm consciously doing the same with sugar, particularly soda pop.
When you really think about it, the very simple concepts in that book can be used to help all sorts of personal problems.
