What's a beginner friendly platform if one is looking into selling digital products?

I have tried getting started with Etsy and Shopify but I am having a hard time getting anything to happen, and I realize this could be a number of reasons so If I could get a little help narrowing them down I would greatly appreciate it! I’ve only just started this year with digital products but I’m beginning to wonder Is it even worth the effort anymore?
