Looking forward to testing my approach as well. What I do is be part of the community and look for genuine connections. I also have a newsletter and I write about coding, marketing and business

Community-led growth is the best one that worked for us. As the dev community is one of the most active communities, we focussed on making them happy and it was all Word of mouth and organic from then.

@vaibhav_nigam Where do you find the dev community mostly ?
@vaibhav_nigam very true. Having a solid community around your product is such a good thing to have

@vaibhav_nigam Nothing beats if your product reaches the stage where it's getting spread by word of mouth in relevant communities where your user lies. But reaching that point in itself reflects a major milestone for any product kudos to you and your team. What are some of the initial sales channels that you focussed upon?
Bran Vuch
I'm still in the process of preparing the release, but already I see that the communities have a huge impact
@branimir_vuchih great to know. Having a community always helps. Infact one of the reasons we are building a community platform is that.

If you look at Malcolm Gladwell's book "The Tipping Point," there are three key ingredients that can make your product go viral and become the talk of the town: The Law of the Few: It's all about finding those influential people who can spread the word like wildfire. You know, the ones who have the Midas touch and can turn anything they touch into gold. Get them on board, and you're off to a great start! The Stickiness Factor: You've got to make your product irresistible, something that sticks in people's minds and keeps them coming back for more. It's like that catchy tune you can't get out of your head, no matter how hard you try. Make your product sticky, and it'll spread like a contagious melody. The Power of Context: Timing and environment are crucial. You need to strike when the iron is hot and create the perfect atmosphere for your product to thrive. It's like planting a seed in fertile soil and watching it grow into a mighty oak. 🌳 Three magical ingredients that can propel your product to stardom. Now go forth, my friend, and conquer the world with your amazing product!
@alekswatch this is such a neat explanation. Thanks for sharing

Our water pest control product really took off because it addressed a critical issue in many regions. Water pests were causing extensive damage to aquatic ecosystems and affecting water quality. Our solution provided an effective and environmentally friendly way to manage these pests, and that was a game-changer.

The tipping point is the moment when a product or idea suddenly becomes widely accepted or popular. There are many factors that can contribute to a product or idea reaching the tipping point, but some of the most common include: A strong product: The product must be something that people want and need. It must be well-designed, functional, and solve a real problem. Effective marketing: The product must be marketed effectively to reach its target audience. This may involve traditional advertising, social media marketing, or other forms of promotion. Word-of-mouth: Word-of-mouth is a powerful force in the success of any product. If people are talking about your product and recommending it to others, it can quickly reach a critical mass of users. A supportive community: A strong community can help to support a product and keep it growing. This community may be made up of users, developers, or other stakeholders. A right timing: The product must be launched at the right time. If the market is not ready for the product, it may not succeed, even if it is a good product.

The tipping point for the success of our product can often be attributed to a combination of factors: Product-Market Fit: Identifying and fulfilling a genuine need or solving a significant problem for our users is crucial. When our product resonates with our target audience and provides value that exceeds alternatives, it lays a strong foundation for growth. User Adoption and Advocacy: As more users adopt our product and become advocates, they spread the word organically through word-of-mouth, social media, reviews, and recommendations. Positive user experiences and testimonials can significantly influence others to try our product. Continuous Improvement: Listening to user feedback and continuously iterating on our product based on their needs and preferences is essential. By addressing pain points, adding new features, and enhancing usability, we keep our product relevant and competitive in the market. Marketing and Promotion: Strategic marketing efforts, including targeted advertising, content marketing, partnerships, and public relations, help raise awareness about our product and reach a wider audience. Effective marketing campaigns can generate buzz and drive user acquisition.
