What were some hard lessons learned that could help another founder? What is a piece of wisdom you picked up along the way? How did you turn a negative into a positive?

There is just so much you need to know, that you don't know. upskilling and learning at pace is so important. And the ability to manage time and tasks by importance and priority. And it is so much harder (but so rewarding) than you initially think.

@james_hallahan The ability to upskill has never been easier too. With so many resources out there, the knowledge is there for the taking. But that also depends on the time management in order to make the space for it.

@justin_govy it all comes back to time management - with everything. It is almost the hardest skill to master. So much can consume time. It's a great balancing act.

That it is even more difficult than everyone says it is and you need a lot of determination. Your co-founder, if you have one, is the most important person to make this venture happen. If it is what you want to do, and if you want a different experience to being an employee - it is really really great :)

@janine_nitz @james_hallahan I've learned that changing the perspective on failures has been a big difference for me personally. They all teach something. I've also found that the team makes all the difference - just like in any game!

@janine_nitz Grit and determination are essential parts of it because you're absolutely right. Way more difficult to execute on an idea than coming up with the idea in the first place.

@janine_nitz @justin_govy so true. The idea, you think is the hard part, turns out to be the easy part. The execution is so difficult, with so many variables. Decision after decision. Implementation after implementation. Failure after failure. It is one big game.

Enjoy every step of the ride. It's going be a long journey. Practice gratitude every single day. Learn to be patient with yourself and the timing of life –– it all falls in place at the right moment. Show up daily.

@thisismeihere Love this! Especially practicing gratitude every day. It's such a small thing that makes a big impact. Self gratitude and external gratitude does so much more than most people even know. Including decreasing anxiety...which any founder is sure to feel at some point.
