What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given when it comes to product building?

The first thing I thought of was something that someone said to me not too long ago. Often people want to make something perfect before they release their product. However that way you'll never release anything, because your product will never be perfect. Better is to release something when it is 80% done. Then when the product is out there and real people use it, that is when you can really make it perfect based on real user experience. And each time you have improved something, there will always be something new popping up that can be improved.

To compare it to book publishing. The book has been read and reread hundreds of times before it is released and still new editions with additions or improvements come out later. In conclusion: better done than perfect! After the launch, there will be many changes to be made and it must be so, otherwise, we would never launch a product if it has to be perfect from the first second.
