What is the best metric for measuring engagement in live streames?

I was wondering if an average view time is a good enough metric to know if your content is engaging enough. As a DJ, if your first track got more booty shakes than the next or as a singer if your love ballad triggered some tears or not. I know Soundcloud is timestamping comments to a music track/music mix so you know what was the hit moment. Let me know what you think...
