Curious to see different perspectives on salary and wants. In this scenario - nothing changes re: employment.

This is going to depend on the individual, their needs and of course ambitions. Some things for folk to thing about here. How much do you need to live on now? How much do you need to save towards your aspirations? How much are you saving for contingency, say if you lost your job/business? Are you aware of inflation and how it erodes your savings? What investments can you make that can combat inflation? Also, think about other factors, not just the amount, but how diversified is your income? Often financial advisors will talk about not investing all your savings in one company/industry/fund etc. How about where you earn your income? If you have only one income stream, you're maximally exposed to the bad scenario of loosing that income stream. Can you make something, publish something, advise someone or have a second income stream so that if one stream is lost, you're able to cope.

Determining what constitutes "enough" salary or revenue is subjective and depends on individual circumstances, including lifestyle expectations, financial obligations, and future goals. A general approach is to consider your basic living expenses, such as housing, food, and transportation, and ensure your income covers those needs comfortably. Additionally, factor in discretionary spending, savings for emergencies and future goals, and potential debt repayments.
