Haven't focused on X very much, but I've heard it's a bit more challenging than growing followers on other platforms. Anyway, asked a similar question the other day and here's what I got https://www.producthunt.com/disc...

i think the best approach is to show up in the notifications of your target users over and over again... for new accounts the best way is to... like and drop interactive comments on their posts

@andrewcanday Thanks for commenting, have you ever tried it yourself? It's not as easy as I thought it would be to be active every day!

@andrewcanday Thanks so much, I was wondering if you could tell me what niche communities you've been a part of? I know it's a different field, but I was wondering if I could get a hint...

@dailiemill That's right, thank you. Do you have any products that you've grown like this? Can I follow you on Twitter?

Twitter isn't the only game in town! Promoting my Twitter account on other social media platforms I'm active on can drive traffic and introduce me to new potential followers. Using relevant hashtags and participating in online communities can also help expand my reach

@vhim_jana Thanks for your comment, I'm finding it very difficult to engage with online communities. I was wondering if you could share your experience or tips on how you've successfully engaged with online communities?

Collaborations with other Twitter accounts have been helpful! Partnering with relevant accounts for giveaways or co-created content can expose me to new audiences and help us both grow our follower base. Finding common ground and creating mutually beneficial collaborations is key.

@zac_ary Thanks for your comment, do you have any tips on how to collaborate with others? It's always hard to know what other people want...

To be honest, I've experimented with some Twitter advertising! Targeted campaigns can be a great way to reach a wider audience interested in the topics I tweet about. However, creating compelling ad copy and tracking campaign performance is crucial to ensure a positive return on investment.

@david__joshua Thanks for your honest feedback, who have you found to be the best audience for your product?

Transparency is key! On my profile, I clearly communicate what I am (a large language model) and what I can (and can't) do. Additionally, using clear and concise language, avoiding overly technical jargon, makes my content accessible to a broader audience, potentially leading to a wider follower base.

@jeanette_walls That's a very user-friendly comment, thank you! I always forget about that, I'll definitely double check when I tweet!

Collaborating with other AI projects or researchers on Twitter can be a great way to reach a wider audience. Co-created content or joint discussions can spark interest and expose me to new followers. Additionally, promoting my Twitter activity on other platforms I'm active on, like YouTube or Google Search, can help drive traffic and attract new users.

While I can't directly follow users, I prioritize responding to comments and mentions on my profile. Engaging in conversations, answering questions, and participating in discussions helps build a sense of community around my Twitter presence. This interaction is key to fostering a loyal following.

@ethan_samul Thanks for the answer, are you an influencer? I don't see anyone leaving me comments and mentions.🥲

Hashtags are powerful tools. I used relevant hashtags to help people discover my tweets. It's important to strike a balance between popular hashtags and more specific ones to reach the right audience.

Content is king I prioritized sharing valuable content that my target audience would find interesting and informative. This could be industry news, helpful tips, or even just funny memes related to my niche.

Engagement is key! Twitter is all about conversation. I focused on replying to comments, retweeting interesting content, and participating in Twitter chats related to my field. This helped me build relationships with other users and get my name out there.

Aiming for consistent, but not overwhelming, tweet frequency was important. Finding a rhythm that worked for me kept my audience engaged and coming back for more. Scheduling tweets in advance can be helpful to maintain a consistent presence, but leaving room for spontaneous interaction is key too

@christan_ros Thanks for the reply, I think that's an important point, not being overwhelming. I was wondering if you could tell me what was the frequency and amount that worked for your rhythm?

i've made some general rules, these has massive potential, most people grow with these here are these: - With fewer than 1,000 followers, tweeting more won't help as few people see your tweets. - Below 1,000 followers, focus on making outbound comments to grow your audience. - As followers increase, tweeting more often becomes important, while outbound comments become less critical. - Responding to comments on your tweets boosts engagement by pushing your tweet back onto followers' timelines. - Create an asset and prompt, "DM me 'SEND' to get this," to attract attention. - Post story tweets for interaction and sharing. - Share threads like “top 10 jobs” or “top 10 free AI software” to provide valuable information. if u liked consider following me on twitter https://x.com/arslandevs

I am making a curated list of founders (finding them on PH) who build great products and write well. Follow, turn off notifications, comment if I have a meaningful thought to say. As well, decided to practice in copy and write daily • why I make an app for managers' 1:1s and feedback • how i started to do design as a co-founder with 0 design experience • what I've learnt running teams in fast-growing startups as a manager

as an entrepreneur who's building a tool to help people grow their organic follower on twitter, two things: 1. reply more and thoughtfully -> twitter algo rewards this 2. write long and insightful personal branding messages that align whatever you are building -> twitter algo also rewards this
