What do you think of Product Hunt hiding upvotes in the first 2 hours?

I think it gives a fair shot at everyone indeed, I'm just wondering based on which criteria products will be displayed on top of the page because I think they will still have an advantage in terms of upvotes.
What's your opinion?

Sometimes I'm worried that PH users don't know what quality products are.
I've seen countless questionable products around with tons of upvotes.
Now it's a question of how much PH users care about quality products vs what's hot at the moment.
Hiding the upvotes won't solve the problem I mentioned above.
Besides, there are many ways to fake your way up without bots.

Launching soon!
I'm for it. It gives everyone who's launching a good opportunity to be seen more and helps new users joining have unbiased opinions and not succumb to fomo by looking at the votes.
I think this will help a lot in the fight against the purchase of bots and so on. Let's see how it affects the result
@anton_bannov I hope it will decrease bot use indeed because it seems like this has become more problematic than ever
Really liked it, I took a longer & more interested look at each product rather than skimming through the first 10 / 15 products
Maybe they should tune it a bit differently, I'm not sure it's necessary to see the number of upvotes when you open the product page for example but this is taking a good direction
