What do you think is the best way to fail?

I don't think either is better, depends on the situation. My best advice would be fail fast but not in a catastrophic way :) failure will teach you a lot. And success is built on multiple failures!

Build, fail, progress, build better. Repeat. As long as you get the reps in, you have nothing to worry about :)
