I have been depressed due to being in a challenging situation for a while. I don't have friends to talk to or ask for help. I tried suicide helpline and NGOs in India, but nothing worked. Psychologists and counselors don't seem to care about helping people with mental health issues who can't afford to pay them. To be honest, Reddit has helped me more compared to others. I know how it feels to be hopeless, not wanting to live further. The situation only gets worse after not receiving help. **Problem:** A certain kind of circumstance puts a person into bad mental health (i.e., life not going anywhere, financial stress, debt, loss of love). Most suicide conditions stem from hopelessness and the belief that nothing is going to improve. More than psychologists, we need hope. We need to talk to someone who can listen and understand. Who can understand better than those who have already been through the situation and successfully overcome it? Example: Let's say a person (A) is working as a telecaller for 20,000 Indian rupees/250$ per month. With a slight income, person A can get a credit card and personal loan, but he's not good at managing finances, so he spent all his credit lines and is now in debt of $15,000 or around 12 lakh rupees. After paying monthly EMIs, he can barely afford rent, and for a few months, he hasn't been able to pay rent, and the owner is forcing him to leave the house. He doesn't see any rise in income in the near future to pay off these debts. Now, he is depressed and sees no way out, wanting to die because there is no hope in living. If he could talk to someone who has been in the same situation before but is now doing well in life, paid off everything, that could give him hope. Maybe he would reconsider ending his life just for a temporary problem, find some peace, and try to fix problems one by one. So, I want to build a platform where people struggling mentally with any aspect of life can talk to those who have thrived in similar situations in the past. Note: I understand there are several mental health-related issues. Here, I am trying to address suicides related to hopelessness, as people often try to talk to someone before taking such drastic measures, someone who won't judge them for any mistakes and understands their problems."
