What do you like most about working remotely?

I like the fact that I don't have to commute, can regulate the temperature in my room, and can walk while working. :)

I like that there is no commute, no compulsory air-conditioning, no noise, clean bathroom, walk while working, no colleague interrupting just to tell a stupid joke, and more which I cannot remember right now, because I have been working for myself the last 15 years.

@trumpeter 15 years! Wow, amazing! I went remote before COVID, and this actually helped my company a lot during the pandemic. By that time, I was already a pro at remote management and had a few tricks to help us out.

@alex_couture Yeah, I really love those two hours I save on commuting. I also like working when I feel most productive. Many times, I find myself closer to what people call "flow," and I just continue until late. If I were in the office, I would have simply been forced to log off and go home.

@j_moffitt Yes, also this, by the way: when the war started in Ukraine, I relocated and continued to work. Essentially, making a living was one thing that I crossed off the list of my worries at that time.

I especially like that I don't have to spend 3-4 hours a day on commuting and gatherings.

@elenat I used to hate Mondays, but when I went remote—without changing jobs—I got rid of the Sunday scaries. I realized that it was the commute I hated the most, not just the time spent, but everything that came with it.
