I think starting from your own country can have some advantages, even if this approach can have some limitations. This is because you perfectly know the culture and the market, and you have a closer community that can help you test and promote the product in the first stage.
@marco_decio agree on that Marco, familiarity on the territory is one thing but what would be your next target coverage after that? Would you expand on the same region or look for a location that might have a bigger market (which could be outside of your current region)?
