I think the use of low-code tools to build software and AI assistive tools to augment software engineers will increase. The demand for software engineers far outstrips supply by many many multiples. The US Labor Department estimates that the global shortage of software engineers may reach 85.2 million by 2030. Moreover, the cost to train and hire software engineers is getting more expensive. Many low-code and AI tools have rapidly evolved and matured in the last two years, I think we see many companies from small businesses to large enterprises adopting low-code and AI tools to fill the gap in software engineering capacity.
AI is expected to be the driving force behind many technological advancements in 2023. From automation to robotics, AI will be used to create smarter, faster, and more efficient products and services.
