To give a start, here is a list of a few challenges we identified: 1. Lack of collaboration between teams 2. Missed deadlines 3. Slow turnaround time 4. Lack of creative leadership 5. Not enough guidance during the concept stage What else you would like to add?

#1 for our team at Approveit is to keep everything mobile-friendly. That limits our design a great deal

@djteknokid it's not really about %, some of are clients use Approveit exclusively on their phones, so for their sake we keep it up:)

@katyaveremeichik Do you know what % of the usage comes from the mobile?

As a founder, I face several challenges - Prioritization at every level. The bottleneck is always on execution in startups - Driving a culture of collaboration and ownership in the org - Doing the right thing (long-term) vs short-term gains. Always have to make trade-offs

@gauravgoyal_gg Thanks Gaurav for your reply. How you get the better of these challenges?

@sushil_sharma2 - Brutal prioritisation at every level and function - We do an offsite every quarter to imbibe the right culture and values - Walk the talk. Always on the fore-front to do the right thing, even if it harms in the short-term

@gauravgoyal_gg Thanks Gaurav for sharing your process.

Recruiting talent. ... Maintaining a sufficient budget. ... Generating leads. ... Finding the right tools. ... Being risk-averse. ... Moving into new markets. ... Retaining customers. ... Retaining and training staff.

I'd place prioritizing at the top. When you start there's so much to do, you really need to outline a roadmap to see what you're trying to achieve when. I noticed that when you prioritize strategically and both on a daily level, you're able to get things done more efficiently. So prioritize and assign deadlines to them.

@geri_mate Thanks for the detailed answer. Setting priorities is the solution to many problems we face. Totally agree with you.

As a startup founder / designer 1. Priority of what to design and implement 2. Quality vs speed 3. ROI of the design and using it to influence the team 4. Almost no time to research

@david_lee21 Thanks David for adding some more key challenges What is your strategy to get the better of these?

@sushil_sharma2 Right now we are still super early stage, so we are relying a lot on the founders' experience and gut feeling. 1) set a main KPI goal for the quarter, and prioritize only on the features that help improve that KPI only. 2) Speed till validated 3) No solution yet. 4) Super quick user testing and relying a lot on secondary research.

For me it's creating cohesive and on-brand designs, standing out in a crowded marketplace, and designing for conversion.
