In the health and wellness tech space, two KPIs stand out for me: User Retention Rate and Engagement Metrics. Retention tells us if users are finding real, lasting value in what we’re building, and engagement shows if the features we create are genuinely improving their daily lives. After all, if users aren’t sticking around or actively engaging, it’s a clear sign we’re missing the mark. What’s the most important KPI for you?

Retention rate is crucial for us in mobile gaming too. If players aren't coming back day after day, we know the game isn't sticky enough. Another big one is ARPU (average revenue per user). Gotta keep a close eye on the unit economics to make sure we're acquiring users profitably and monetizing well with IAPs. What other key metrics do you track?

@oliviajanecarter I’d emphasise tracking DAU/MAU ratio (Daily Active Users/Monthly Active Users). It’s a strong indicator of game stickiness and engagement over time. A high ratio means players are returning frequently. Additionally, churn rate is vital - it helps pinpoint where players drop off, so you can optimise onboarding, difficulty levels, or content updates. Balancing these metrics ensures a game that’s both engaging and profitable.
