Only used PPC at the start for traffic, so we can quickly get users in, see how they behave with the product, and make improvements quickly. Seems to be the best way for early-stage validation. Once we're happy with that, we started doing launches and building SEO.

SEO and word of mouth is probably the only way for a SaaS to survive long term, in my personal experience
