What are the Best Laptops for Students in 2024?

Hi everyone, I'm in the market for a new laptop as I get ready for the upcoming school year, and I would love some recommendations on great laptops for students. There are so many options out there, and it can be overwhelming to figure out which ones offer the best value and functionality for student needs. Here are a few questions to get the conversation started: What laptop are you currently using, and how has your experience been with it? Are there specific features you find particularly useful for your studies? What do you think are the most important features to look for in a student laptop? Should we prioritize battery life, processing power, portability, or something else? Can you recommend any specific models or brands that have worked well for you or your peers? It would be great to hear about both budget-friendly options and higher-end models. How do you balance the cost with the features you need? Are there any good deals or budget tips you can share? Any pitfalls to avoid when choosing a laptop for school? Have you had any negative experiences with certain models or brands that others should be aware of? I’ve been looking into options like the MacBook Air, Dell XPS 13, and some of the Lenovo ThinkPads. They all have great reviews, but personal experiences from fellow students would be incredibly valuable. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and recommendations! Thanks, Jonathan Jone

I think you can't go wrong with a MacBook Air M1 base model (8GB RAM, 256GB SSD). Although it's a discontinued model, you can still find sweet deals online, or even a used one with a low charging cycle is a great option. The M1 chip is fast and it's the most reliable laptop you can get.🙂
