replying to discussions using AI generated replies, I notice so many of those.. The point is to interact and exchange ideas with humans, not machine...

Not having any human oversight in AI content creation. We've often received guest posts that screamed 'AI-generated' and the writers didn't even bother to edit it and add their own touch. Misusing AI this way makes people lose trust and your credibility will always be doubted. AI is meant to be an assistant to humans and should be used accordingly!

There is a long list. One thing, for example, it can be used to create false propaganda and havoc.

AI can be used to collect and analyze large amounts of data about people, which can be used to track their movements, monitor their communications, or even predict their behavior. This raises serious concerns about privacy and surveillance.

Deepfakes and fake audio files.
Tara Fitzgerald
Deepfakes are videos or audio recordings that have been manipulated to make it look or sound like someone is saying or doing something they never actually said or did. Deepfakes can be used to spread misinformation, damage someone's reputation, or even commit fraud.

Fake videos of Elon (using text-to-speech of his voice) promoting bitcoin giveaway scams. Unfortunately, I’d bet there are a lot of victims to those scams.

AI can be biased if it is trained on biased data or if the algorithms themselves are biased. This can result in unfair treatment of certain groups of people, such as in hiring, lending, or criminal justice.

It can be used very effectively in wars. Just imagine if AI had access to all satellite photos online, the current locations of soldiers and machines, and all information about cellular signals in the area, etc. It might resemble a high-tech war against people.
Spamming people with low quality AI generated messages is going to be a nightmare! Thats why I'm building Message Ninja - it helps augment and improve the messages that people send on an individual basis rather than allowing them to send 1000's of untargeted spam messages. Hopefully the quality, targeting + human curation of the messages can make it the more effective strategy (so people stop feeling the need to send spam)

AI has the potential to be misused in various ways. Cybercriminals can exploit AI and machine learning (ML) systems to automate fraudulent activities, create deepfakes, and spread misinformation. AI can also be used to violate human rights, identify dangerous toxins, and develop autonomous weapon systems. To protect ourselves from these malicious actors, we need to identify and understand the risks and potential malicious exploitations of AI systems.
Catherine McKnight
Misuses of AI include biased decision-making amplifying societal inequalities, deepfakes eroding trust in information and public figures, AI-powered surveillance infringing on privacy rights, and autonomous weapons posing ethical and security risks.

Not a misuse but sometimes I am afraid that it will destroy the internet. As platforms try to get rid of bots because very often it just destroy fun (like in social media etc.), social interaction online and content creation can be destroyed by AI. Everything is a matter of getting used to - for example, many people watch cartoons - these are not real people either. But I just find entertainment AI content boring right now.
Blindly trusting what the AI says without fact-checking or informing the end user that the content should be taken with a grain of salt.
