What are questions to ask yourself before starting any projects?

Great question! One thing I always ask myself is: “What will change, and what will stay the same?” Understanding the constants helps you focus on what truly matters, while identifying what’s likely to change keeps you flexible and ready to adapt. It’s a simple lens, but it works wonders for clarity.

The question that saved me from countless dead ends: 'What existing business problem does this solve?' Before diving into any new AI project, I chat with 5 potential clients in my existing network about their actual pain points and budget. Saved me months of building solutions nobody wanted to pay for.

1. Is there a real need or demand for what you're building? 2. Do you have the skills & resources to actually execute on it? 3. How will you reach your target users/customers? 4. What's your unfair advantage or unique angle vs. the competition? 5. How committed are you to seeing it through the inevitable challenges? Answering those honestly upfront can save a lot of pain later on.

Me first: - What is the main purpose? - What are my specific goals and objectives? - What problem am I trying to solve? - How will I measure the success of this project?

For me: What’s the concept or position of the project? Who are the competitors? Who are the target audience? How does the project solve the target audience’s problems?

Knowing my objective helps me stay focused and make decisions that align with my purpose. Also, consider if you have enough resources and time to see it through

Before anything, I ask Am I genuinely passionate about this It’s hard to push through without that.
