What did you do when you had an idea but didn't have the skills to build your idea?

I first seeked like minded people, but was concerned the idea would just be stolen- which the first person I collaborated with threatened to do so if I didn't agree to give him 51% ownership 🤣😂 he nor his project has been nowhere to be found for the last 12 months, guess it took more than just knowing how to write code to execute the idea If you have some capital, you can hire someone to develop your idea- then offer a partnership. But if turned down, will be a struggle keeping it maintained and updated without a dev or the capital for another.

Pre-sell the idea. Then use that money to hire someone to build it. If nobody will pay a discounted rate for the future product, that tells you something too. Good luck!
