Hi PH, we are about to launch on the 15th of November with our video creation product Castofly What we did so far:
  • Read all PH guidelines
  • Developed end-to-end UX on our product
  • Prepared free plans and promotions on paid plans
  • Tested 2 launch date product demo mechanics (1 and 2)
  • Tested our app preparing for potential high load on Launch day
  • Completed hundreds of user testing sessions
  • Improved our UI based on this feedback
What else should we do? Is it a landing page that's important, or maybe come up with a more viral mechanics? I'm really trying to make our launch interesting and engaging, and making people actually use our Web App and decide if they like it or not. Any tips from your launches or launches that you loved?

Stop thinking about the idea, every single thought must now be put into execution. Think of atleast one way you can market this product that is NON-scalable.
Daniyar Yeskaliyev
@chetan_natesh hey thanks! But what do you mean by thinking of NON-scalable? if it's not scalable, then what's the point?
Chetan Natesh
@dan_yes What I mean is this , think of something that is too difficult to do for 10,000 people but would be perfect for 100 people. Like your video review - you cannot do this for 1 million people , but for 10, 20 or 50 people it's possible.

I wish you all the best for the launch! As far as I can see, the underlying reason for successful launches is that the whole team works actively in PH together. Setting up a separate PH network for everyone instead of just one person taking care of it can take product promotion to a whole new level!
Daniyar Yeskaliyev
@arda_finsmart thanks for the strong advice, network is key as far as I feel, I can see it by success of other launches, thanks!

Create an FAQ that you can use to respond to questions on launch day. It will save you a lot of time.

All the best for the launch!

I would say content content content its not too late to create articles, posts testimonials and turn them into multi-channel pieces to help engage people from everywhere. I spent 3-4 weeks planning a content strategy around today's launch for my product..if you worry about too much on the shiny things and making it perfect you may be disappointed. Ill be following along
Daniyar Yeskaliyev
@dgmay310 that's a good one, we do have positive feedback but haven't turned it into pieces of content for every platform we're active on... Good point, will work on that! :)

looking forward to the launch

1. Optimize your Tagline, Title and GIF. It's a common mistake that we do. Like we will be totally focused on marketing and we might miss the copy sometimes. 2. check all your links. Broken links hurts you more than less upvotes. 3. Schedule all your Sm posts, so that you won't forget posting and 4. Reply to every comment, PH algortihm loves comments.
Daniyar Yeskaliyev
@karthik_tatikonda About GIF, do you think it's necessary? I see many solid products winning top position without GIF. Broken links is definitely a good point, while testing some ideas in the discussions section, we did find a few bugs in the UX when trying to reach parts of the site that require access / auth. So thanks, good point, will make sure to avoid broken links. OK, SM schedule. I didn't know that PH algorithm loves comments, I thought that it's just polite to respond to the comments. Thanks! All in all, great advice, thanks again. Seems like the launch is the game of speed and activity during the 24 hours, feel like we're preparing for a race :))

Build an outreach list of PH natives that you can reach out to on launch day! The more accounts you have, the more DMs you can send on launch day to your engaged PH supporters. You can build a list by find comparable products and reaching out to upvoters and commentors on those product launches.
Daniyar Yeskaliyev
@knowledge_products thanks, I didn't know that PH has DMs. Or do you mean building a network with PH natives on other websites like LinkedIn and DM them there? I've got plenty of connection requests and messages by the PH users on LinkedIn, so maybe you meant that? But if there is a DM functionality on PH, let me know - it's my first launch on PH so I might not know many things, thanks again! :)
Knowledge Products
@dan_yes unfortunately there's no DMs on PH. Yes, you're going to have to reach out to people on Twitter and LinkedIn if they've shared that in their PH bio.
